WEAPON TESTING ULU KINTA WITH PDRM

From 28 to 30 January 2026, a comprehensive live fire weapon testing session was successfully conducted in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at PGA Ulu Kinta, Perak. The program involved multiple elite units, including VAT 69 and Special Branch, providing end users with the opportunity to personally experience and evaluate the performance, reliability, and operational capabilities of advanced firearms.

The weapons tested during the session included the KN-12 7.62mm Sniper Rifle, JMK BORA 7.62mm / 8.59mm Interchangeable Barrel Sniper Rifle, MP5 A3 Submachine Gun, MP5 MTS A3 Submachine Gun, MOT-919 Submachine Gun, and the MPT-55 5.56mm Infantry Rifle.

All testing procedures were conducted under controlled conditions and structured into two primary categories. Sniper rifle evaluations were carried out at distances ranging from 300 to 500 meters to assess precision and long-range accuracy. Meanwhile, submachine guns (SMGs) were tested at distances between 50 and 100 meters, focusing on handling, firing rate, and close-range effectiveness.

All firearms supplied by Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the testing period. The results exceeded expectations, showcasing consistent accuracy, reliability, and overall effectiveness across all weapon platforms.

Adding further significance to the event, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, was present during the session. He actively participated in the live firing exercises, gaining firsthand experience in evaluating the capabilities of the weapons.

The successful completion of this testing program marks an important step toward enhancing operational readiness and exploring advanced weapon solutions for future law enforcement applications.

LIGHT ANTI-TANK WEAPON ENHANCE CAPABILITY (LAW-EC) HAR 66

The Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) for the Light Anti-Tank Weapon Enhancement Capability (LAW-EC HAR66) was successfully conducted from 03 to 08 August in Türkiye. The purpose of this structured programme was to verify that the systems delivered met all specified technical, operational, and safety requirements prior to final acceptance.

During the PDI period, a comprehensive series of inspections, functional checks, and performance validations were carried out. These activities included verification of system configuration, mechanical integrity, electronic functionality, and compliance with contractual and defence standards. Each unit underwent detailed visual inspection, dimensional verification, and operational testing to ensure reliability and readiness for deployment.

In addition, system performance tests were conducted under controlled conditions to confirm operational effectiveness and compatibility with required mission parameters. Documentation review formed an essential component of the inspection, ensuring that all manuals, certification records, and quality assurance documents were complete, accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Technical personnel and quality assurance representatives collaborated closely throughout the programme to address observations, validate corrective actions, and confirm final system readiness. The structured PDI approach ensured transparency, traceability, and confidence in the delivered systems.

Overall, the PDI conducted in Türkiye from 03–08 August confirmed that the Light Anti-Tank Weapon Enhancement Capability systems met the expected standards of quality, performance, and compliance, supporting operational readiness and successful delivery to the end user.

105MM BORAN AIR LIGHT TRANSPORTABLE TOWED HOWITZER

WEAPON TESTING GEMAS 5.56MM & 7.62MM

A comprehensive live fire weapon assessment of the MPT-55 Rifle and MPT-76 Rifle was successfully conducted in collaboration with the Malaysian Army at Gemas from 2 to 5 September 2024. The program was designed to provide end users with direct operational exposure to both rifle platforms, allowing personnel to thoroughly evaluate their performance, reliability, and suitability for field deployment under realistic live fire conditions. During the assessment, both rifle systems were subjected to structured firing sequences conducted at varying engagement distances to evaluate precision, shot grouping consistency, and effective range capabilities. Particular attention was given to recoil management, weapon balance, ergonomics, and ease of handling during sustained firing. Users also assessed the rifles’ trigger response, sight alignment stability, and overall controllability in both semi-automatic and controlled rapid-fire modes. The MPT-55 Rifle demonstrated excellent maneuverability and controllability, making it highly suitable for standard infantry operations requiring mobility and rapid target engagement. Meanwhile, the MPT-76 Rifle exhibited strong ballistic performance and consistent accuracy, particularly at extended distances, highlighting its effectiveness in roles requiring enhanced stopping power and penetration capability. Throughout the testing period, both rifle platforms maintained consistent operational reliability with minimal stoppages, confirming their durability and mechanical robustness under repeated firing cycles. The structured testing environment ensured all procedures were conducted under controlled safety protocols, enabling accurate performance validation and user feedback collection. The successful completion of this live fire assessment at Gemas represents a significant milestone in evaluating advanced rifle platforms for potential operational integration. The results reinforced confidence in the performance capabilities of both the MPT-55 and MPT-76, supporting ongoing efforts by the Malaysian Army to enhance combat readiness and modernize infantry weapon systems.
